Your role as a parent

At Puddleducks Pre-School we feel it is important to involve the parents of the children attending as much as possible. Children often love a parent/carer to come to a session and it lets you see exactly what they get up to!

There is a parent rota pinned up above the wooden payment box where you can sign up for your rota session each term. Don’t worry if you feel you don’t have any special skills to offer or you haven’t done this before. An extra pair of hands is always welcome! You may bring up to two other children who are in your care with you, but you will be responsible for the care of these children during the session.

If you cannot participate in the rota, there are always other opportunities to help support the Pre-School.

Parents are also invited to join the Puddleducks Pre-School Committee. All positions on the Committee are voluntary, but vital to the running of the Pre-school. Without a Chair, Treasurer and Secretary, Puddleducks has to close.

Communication with parents

Puddleducks Pre-School's Policies and Procedures are on display in the foyer for any parent who wishes to view them. You will also find a copy of our latest Ofsted report or you can visit www.ofsted.gov.uk/reports/ and type in our postcode (TF12 5AN).

There is a termly newsletter to keep parents and carers informed of any key issues or forthcoming fundraising events. Any letters home will be put in your child’s home box. You should also keep a look out for posters/notices on the outside notice board where we often announce events and activities.
